Some circumstances, including menopause, menstruation, sexual intercourse and the use of certain vaginal products, may affect vaginal pH and lead to an abnormal or false result.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDo not use the test during menstruation, within three days after the end of a period, within 48 hours after sexual intercourse or douching, or within 72 hours after using vaginal preparations such as creams, gels, contraceptives, antifungal products or suppositories.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThis test is not intended to detect sexually transmitted infections such as HIV, chlamydia, herpes, gonorrhoea or syphilis.
