AHPC Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) Rapid Urine Test – LEU/BLO/NIT/PRO

The AHPC Urinary Tract Infections Rapid Test is a self-test designed for the qualitative detection of four parameters in human urine that may be associated with a urinary tract infection.

• Blood
• Nitrite
• Protein

The test strip contains four separate reagent areas. After the strip is immersed in a urine sample, the colours are compared with the supplied colour chart to interpret each parameter.

Directions for use

1. Collect urine in a clean plastic cup or specimen container without residual detergent.
2. Open the foil pouch and remove the test strip without touching the test areas.
3. Immerse all four test areas in the urine sample for approximately 1–2 seconds.
4. Remove the strip and wipe the edge against the container or an absorbent material to remove excess urine.
5. Wait 2 minutes, then read each parameter separately by comparing the test areas with the supplied colour chart.

Do not interpret results after 3 minutes. The first urine of the day is recommended because it is generally the most concentrated. Do not collect a sample during or for three days after a menstrual period.

Important information

This product is intended for rapid qualitative self-testing only. A positive result does not confirm a urinary tract infection, and a negative result does not rule one out. Certain medicines, foods, urine characteristics and sample contamination may affect the result.
